Overview
Lamb's Knees offers an extensive range of home from home facilities so little ones can enjoy a safe & fun filled holiday. A dedicated in-house Playroom, with the beach and local amenities on your doorstep ensures a happy holiday for the whole family.
Sleeping
Ensure baby has a luxurious night's sleep in either the John Lewis rocking crib (0-6 months) or Stokke Sleepi Cot (0-36 months). The Stokke Sleepi has a choice of two sleeping heights. The side panel can be removed if required to provide a toddler bed. Baby's cot can be comfortably situated in either the Master or double bedroom. Travel cots are also available for mobile day time snoozing.
Children over the age of 3 years old will absolutely love sleeping in the White Company Bunk Bed in their very own 'private den'. Friendly, colourful bedding options, nightlights and blackout curtains should ensure a good night's sleep for everyone.
Garden
Fully enclosed flint walled rear garden, sheltered from the wind, an ideal spot for 'mini-beast hunting' (snails are a particular favourite) and shell collecting.
Children's Play Room
3rd floor play room accessed via a 'secret' staircase, providing a treasure trove of toys. Dedicated soft & crinkly toys for babies; brightly coloured activity toys to delight toddlers. Lots to entertain older children; train table; Annabelle dolls with doll's buggy for beach front walks; Dolls House; Sylvanian Families; Play kitchen; Action men, car garage; table football. Books, jigsaws & Lego. Range of family board games available in 'Snug'. You may struggle to get your little one(s) out of the play room!
Bathing & Laundry
A baby bath & basin are provided along with bath toys. A washer & dryer are available in-house or a laundrette is only a 1 minute walk from the house for super fast drying.
Local Amenities
Seaford offers a wide range of shops & pharmacies including Boots & Superdrug which stock baby essentials, all are less than 2 minutes walk from the house.
Supermarkets including Waitrose, Tesco, Asda & 'Cook' all offer a delivery service.
There are a good range of restaurants and several boutique cafes. In your Lamb's Knees information pack we have listed those which are particularly baby & child friendly.
Activities for Children
Only 4 minutes walk to the beach (pebble) which has a 2.5km promenade, ideal for those wobbly scooters & bikes or for an outing with your pram.
Rockpool fishing is an absolute favourite for the whole family with several locations within walking distance or a short drive.
Drusillas zoo & play park is only 10 mins drive away and offers a very exciting day out with lots of animals to see: extensive playpark with Hello Kitty rides, water garden and three brand new rides; 'Hippopotobus', 'Flying Cheetahs' and the 'Safari Express' train.
For dinosaur lovers, Paradise Park offers a Dino-tastic experience with dinosaurs (quite scary), 'Earth museum' & playpark.
For Winnie the Pooh lovers, a trip to Ashdown forest is a must. Follow in Pooh Bear's steps on an ‘expotition’ to the North Pole, visit 'The Enchanted Place' and 'The Heffalump Trap' and of course try to spot Winnie the Pooh and his friends.
Soft play, swimming pool and play parks are all within 10 minutes walk of the house.
Giant indoor trampolines, children's farms, pottery creating, castle exploration, aquariums, boat trips along the coast & the Herstmonceux Science Observatory are all within easy reach of Lamb's Knees.

Countryside Walks
There are some incredible walks directly from the doorstep of Lamb's Knees, including the dramatic coastal walk with fabulous views of the iconic Seven Sisters White Cliffs, Cuckmere Valley, Friston Forest all within the beautiful South Downs National Park. We know that very little legs can get tired walking so why not travel in style in our Little Life Hiking carrier, suitable for up to 15kg (6 months - 2.5 years).
